Police in Malmo, Sweden detained at least two people after violence broke out at a Quran burning. Footage shows at least several dozen police in attendance, while protesters grapple with officers, one even hurling a scooter at them.

Muslim leaders in Sweden have called on the government to stop the Quran burnings, but the government says it has no intention of reintroducing blasphemy laws, not seen in Sweden since the 1970s. However, they have said they are looking into ways to reject permits for similar demonstrations over ‘national security’ concerns.
