Shake Shack went on CNBC this morning saying they wanted to give a $10,000,000 loan of free, forgivable money BACK to the Small Business Administration (SBA) to give smaller businesses a chance at the forgivable money. This has caused Shake Shack Shares to jump 5% throughout the day where the Dow and other stocks are falling substantially, not to mention oil’s and the May future contracts becoming essentially worthless for oil. Well, given Shake Shack’s LinkedIn and Twitter post AND what I know about the Paycheck Protection Program, this is (I believe) the real reason Shake Shack gave back $10,000,000 of PPP money.

Is the PPP forgivable loan a scam? It's not, but it has some incredibly strict criteria to qualify for forgiveness.
