Let’s talk about the free $1,000 Grants for the Emergency Injury Disaster Loan (Grant). This is a no-collateral, grant or advance. You do not need to take the actual loan to receive this grant money. You just need to certify that your side hustle or small business has been affected. Do you need a separate entity like an s-corp or LLC to qualify? Nope! 1099 or sole proprietor works. The Cannabis industry may not qualify as it has to qualify as a legal business under Federal Law.

On CARES Act 2: Expect negotiations to revolve not only around stimulus checks but ALSO around elections / Russia.

Mortgage Forbearance, Student Loan Forbearance, and Credit Card Forbearance:
It looks mortgage and student loan forbearance is reducing credit scores by 40-75 points due to notes being added on your credit portfolio that your ‘account is in forbearance’ OR ‘affected by natural disaster.’

Average loss for hourly workers of income right now is about $1,600, yet benefits from stimulus and unemployment seems to be around $4,000 per month. Interesting comparison from the Federal Reserve.

PPP:
For eligibility, you generally need EITHER employees OR 1099 contractors. However you cannot use 1099 contractor pay in your payroll calculations to determine the size of your loan. It just helps determine eligibility (per CARES act).
