Summary:
There is a teaching that I was a part of for many years, which essentially states that prophecy is never mystery, and mystery is never prophecy. While nowhere in Scripture does it state this, I took this to mean that there were no mysteries about Christ’s death hidden in the Old Testament; therefore the gospel of Christ, which was a mystery, could not be found there. I corrected this error quite a few years ago, and I’ve taught differently ever since. Until I was ready to receive that I was in error, I could see no differently. Let me share what I learned.

Notes:
Prophecy: Greek - prophēteia (prof-ay-ti’-ah) - a discourse emanating from divine inspiration and declaring the purposes of God, whether by reproving and admonishing the wicked, or comforting the afflicted, or revealing things hidden; esp. by foretelling future events

Takeaway:
And now you know! There’s not one mystery; there are many. We are to be stewards of them all. The main thing I want you to ask yourself if you disagree with this, is this: Paul’s mystery is that “the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, of the same body, and partakers of God’s promise in Christ” ALONG WITH WHOM? With whom are we, fellow heirs and partakers? If you’re honest with yourself and with the Lord, then you might just have to change your doctrinal position to match the truth. Don’t put God’s will in a box. He will do what He said He would do, whether we believe it or not!
