Winterizing Our Small Livestock on the Homestead

Each year we take precautions (BEFORE it gets cold!) to make sure our animals stay warm. This year, we only have chickens, a few rabbits, and quail. With a large supply of natural heat from the environment, on even the coldest nights, our animals have pulled through every single year. We have NEVER lost an animal to the cold. And we do not use supplemental heat. Here's how we do it....
