HEAT DOME to bring Hot Temperatures to Michigan, Indiana, Ohio -Great Lakes Weather

A prolific ridge will surge and strengthen across the Plains during next week, causing a stagnant air mass to bake over much of the CONUS, including the Great Lakes Region. In some places, heat index values will surge past 110, depending on humidity that comes along with the ridge. Heat will likely be strongest Tuesday-Thursday, especially in Indiana. This heat wave will be followed by potential for thunderstorms, which will be closely monitored due to model disagreements.
