Hunter Fan ($200) suffered a power surge & light failed. Fix it for $10? CBB61 350V Capacitor? P1

Why is the capacitor in the bottom unit of the fan body? The lamp would dim on and then go out but I found an old overhead LED lamp that works! I'll put a new capacitor in when I get it next week. Don't do any of this if you have any questions about your ability and do this at your own risk.
