Don’t use obedience training as a band aid

Sometimes owners get carried away with using obedience training to micromanage their dogs behaviors. This can lead to frustration on the part of the owner and the dog. When the easiest thing you can can do as an owner to address your dog’s behavior is to simply correct it! Obedience training isn’t meant to be a band aid solution to your dog’s issues. Using it in tandem with your corrections for behavioral problems is what help help you clearly and effectively communicate to your dog what is acceptable and unacceptable behavior.
