You’re not doing a civic duty by voting

If you’re uninvolved in politics the rest of the year, stay uninvolved on Election Day. You’re not doing anyone any favors by dragging your 🍑 to the polls Voting RESPONSIBLY and FAIRLY takes effort (or at least it should). And I don’t mean insurmountable, discriminatory, or unreasonable effort; I am referring to the fact that it takes effort to be an informed and engaged citizen today—just like it takes effort to run free and fair elections.

Owning a firearm is your right. That doesn’t mean everyone should go right now and buy a gun. Voting is your right . That doesn’t mean everyone should go vote. You have the right to do one or both, but do you know what you’re doing? If you’re wholly uneducated and ignorant about guns/gun safety, then you exercising your right to firearm ownership can be DESTRUCTIVE.

But my goal in saying this isn’t less Americans with guns—it’s MORE-INFORMED Americans with more guns. Just like my goal isn’t less Americans voting—it’s more informed Americans more engaged in their communities, including voting.
