On Thursday, a Russian court issued a fine of 3 million rubles (equivalent to $32,000) to Google for its failure to remove purportedly inaccurate details concerning the Ukraine conflict.

This action taken by a magistrate’s court mirrors earlier measures observed in early August against Apple and the Wikimedia Foundation, which is responsible for hosting Wikipedia, the Associated Press reported.

Reports from Russian media indicate that the court determined that Google’s YouTube video service, a subsidiary of the company, was at fault for neglecting to eliminate videos containing erroneous information related to the conflict.
