• Rom. 1:24-25 Because the pagans worshiped animals, they became like animals. Truly, we become like what we worship. That's why we are to fix our eyes on Jesus. Common people heard Him gladly and the masses surrounded Him constantly. They left everything to follow Him wholeheartedly because there was substance and reality within Him. With open face, behold His glory—and you will be changed from glory to greater glory (2Co_3:18). Herein lies the degradation of man. He who suppresses the truth and denies there is a God begins to act like an animal and to worship the creation rather than the Creator. Does that ring a bell in light of what's happening in our culture?

• Rom. 1:26-27 God's plan for sexual relationships is his ideal for his creation. Unfortunately, sin distorts the natural use of God's gifts. Sin often means not only denying God but also denying the way we are made. When people say that any sex act is acceptable as long as nobody gets hurt, they are fooling themselves. In the long run (and often in the short run), sexual sin hurts people—individuals, families, whole societies. Because sex is such a powerful and essential part of what it means to be human, it must be treated with great respect. One of the clearest indicators of a society or person in rebellion against God is the rejection of God's guidelines for the use of sex. If you have these desires, you can and must resist acting upon them. Consciously avoid places or activities you know will kindle temptations. Don't underestimate the power of Satan to tempt you, or the potential for serious harm if you continue to yield to these temptations. A way out is to 'flee' i.e. avoid, run away, vanish.

• Rom. 1:28-32 Rejection of the knowledge of God is the cause of His judgment. God gave the unbelievers up to a mind totally devoid of moral sensitivity. In these verses are one of the most extensive lists of sins in all Scripture. The list shows the exhaustive sweep of human moral depravity. Note that while society tends to rationalize certain sins, God judges all sin. These sins particularly reveal our rebellious hearts. All, without exception, deserve God’s punishment. They were filled with all injustices, unmercifulness, fornication, which includes here every species of uncleanness. Maliciousness - The Greek word implies a temper which delights in hurting another, even without any advantage to itself. They practiced the highest degree of wickedness. A man may be hurried by his passions to do the thing he hates; but he that has pleasure in those that do evil, loves wickedness for wickedness' sake. And hereby he encourages them in sin, and heaps the guilt of others upon his own head.

Personal Supplication
Father in the name of Jesus, I reject all forms of spiritual blindness that leads to depravity 2 Cor 4:4
4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

I decree in the name of Jesus, from this moment forward, I see myself the way God sees me. I am highly favoured of the Lord. I am crowned with glory and honour. I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
