It is easy for us to take color for granted. We know that the most beautiful roses are red, we know that the grass turns green in spring and we know that the ocean is blue. But there are people out there who have never seen or experienced those colors.

The term "color blindness" is actually very misleading, because most "colorblind" people see colors, but their color perception is limited and inaccurate. Most people who are considered "color blind" can see colors, but certain colors appear washed out and are easily confused with other colors, depending on the type of color vision deficiency they have.

These people have learned to function like this, something that will never compute in our minds. Take Noll Stafford, for example. The grandpa has been born with the inability to see color and he is turning 66. Luckily for him, technology has evolved so much that now it is as simple as wearing a pair of stylish spectacles.

Noll’s kids all pitched in and bought their dad a pair of these amazing color-correcting eyewear called EnChroma. In this video, Noll gets to see and experience color for the first time in his entire life. The moment he puts those fancy sunglasses on, grandpa’s life changes for the better.

The company even sends over a bunch of balloons in different colors, so that the wearer can clearly see the difference in vision. Not a dry eye at the party.

You all better have a box of tissues on hand, because it is a tearfest.
