Epic Battle Fantasy 4 (PC) - Epic Mode - Part 40: Dark Lance Superboss Fight

As we continue our ascent up Battle Mountain, the way to the central cave above where we fought Rainbow Rafflesia is now open! Inside this cave lie four more Superbosses and four of the hardest bosses in the entire game! Say hello to the Dark Players!

Last on our list is Dark Lance, a zombie soldier who is, in my opinion, the second hardest of the Dark Players. All of his shooting attacks have a chance to inflict Instant Death upon your party members, so high resistance to that is mandatory. With that, defense buffs can easily mitigate the damage without worry of being dispelled which makes this guy easier to deal with than Dark Matt in that regard. What makes Dark Lance difficult is his Lock On buff, which maxes out his Attack, Magic Attack, Accuracy, and Evasion, combined with his 70% resistance to Dispel. Thankfully he doesn't buff his Defender minions with him, which is another way this fight is slightly less hard than Dark Matt.

To sum it up, Max out your instant death resistance, get some fire resistance as well to deal with his Nuke limit breaks, keep your buffs up, and keep the Debuff Trifecta up on both Dark Lance and his Defender minions as much as possible since it may be your best chance to mitigate damage from his own buffs because of his high Dispel resistance.
