In our research for our new Doctor Moreau video, we came across a bizarre old Christian legend called "The Miracle of the Transplantation of the Black Leg." This legend, which is described by Jacobus de Voragine in his 1275 book Legenda Aurea, suggests that ancient surgeons may have possessed lost techniques that were shrouded in secrecy.
