Georgian invasion of South Ossetia: 15 years on

t’s been 15 years since Georgian forces attacked South Ossetia in an attempt to retake the breakaway region in the Caucasus. The Western-backed Georgian president at the time, Mikhail Saakashvili, ordered the town of Tskhinvali to be shelled with artillery, which resulted in many casualties and infrastructure damage.
