Welcome to KORÇË | Church + Hiking + Local Beer + Hotel | Solo Travel | Albania Travel Vlog (Ep. 3)

I just arrived in Albania, and I am excited to start exploring. I flew to Tirana, and then took a bus to a small village called Korçë. Today was my first time to go out and explore a bit. I visited the Shën Ilia church, which is located at the top of a nearby mountain.

I walked from my room, which is in the center of the village, all the way to the top. It took about 2.5 hours, mainly because I stopped and looked at the amazing views to many times.
After I arrived at the church and looked around for a bit, I went to a nearby hotel, the Montrelux resort. I sat for a while and ate some chips while drinking a local dark beer. So delicious!

The waiter told me about a shortcut through the forest that would save me a lot of time, when I walked back down the mountain. He was right. It probably cut 25 minutes from my descent!

Korçë is such a beautiful town. I hope I will be able to meet some new people and explore a bit more in this area!
