You don’t affirm me. Why should I affirm you?

It is impossible to affirm everyone in everything they think about themselves, their identity, and the world. There will always be conflicting opinions, and people will always have delusions about themselves and the world at large. So who wins? Those who have a grasp on objective truth. “Live and let live” sounds nice, but nobody practices it—not even those screeching the loudest about “tolerance.”
