Ingredients:

½ turmeric root
Juice from 1 lemon
2 cups of water
1 tbsp honey or to taste
1 tbsp chopped mint leaves
Ice cubes

Preparation:

Peel and grate the turmeric.
Add the water in a small saucepan
Add the grated turmeric
Bring to boil over medium heat
Turn heat off
Strain to obtain a clear liquid and set it aside to cool.
In a glass jar, combine lemon juice, honey and the turmeric water.
Stir well to mix, taste and add more honey or lemon juice if needed
Add the chopped mint leaves, ice cubes and stir.
Serve chilled

Tips:

You can add spices as well, like ground black pepper or even cucumber if you want.
