Carioca | karioka

Karioka/Carioca is a sweet, deep-fried coconut rice ball dipped in a sweet caramel glaze. We prefer to have each Karioka ball on its own individual toothpick, rather than typically skewering 3 of them on one long stick, which makes the glazing process easier. Growing up, I (Nicole) remember sneaking these bite sized bad boys in my mouth before family parties because they always went fast!
