Due to its size as the most populous state and largest economy in Southeast Asia, Indonesia is at the center of the world's geopolitical conflict. They are on course to maintain the balance of power in the Indo-Pacific thanks to their rapid expansion; however, the US has paid little attention to enhancing commerce, military cooperation, or bilateral ties. Ireland, a country of 5 million, trades with the US more than Indonesia, a country of 270 million.
