Boat runs aground, crashes into home along Lake of the Ozarks; 8 injured, driver charged

Over the weekend, a boating accident on the Lake of the Ozarks resulted in significant injuries to eight individuals and caused the boat to crash into a home, as reported by state law enforcement.

The incident occurred along the lake’s main channel, prompting a response from the Missouri State Highway Patrol shortly before midnight on Saturday.

The boat veered off course, colliding with a home and subsequently flipping, leading to the ejection of all eight occupants onboard.

Fortunately, the two individuals inside the house at the time of the crash were unharmed, USA Today has reported.

However, four women and four men, ranging in age from 21 to 51, sustained moderate to serious injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
