I'm pretty impressed by this little device - there are a few features I wasn't expecting and overall it's a great little grill accessory.

There are two ways to set the device down when in use - a stand and magnets on the back. Both are very useful. The switches on the back allow you to set Fahrenheit or Celsius and choose the mode - timer or temperature. There are preset temperatures for beef, poultry, ham, pork, and fish or you can set your own target temperature manually.

Be careful how you insert the probe in to the meat - I'm pretty sure I inserted mine crooked so my meat ended up a bit on the rare side. I'll try harder to insert the probe straight down the middle next time. The instructions say repeatedly that the device isn't waterproof but you should wash the probe with water - that tells me I have to be careful washing it. After one use, the probe already showed grill stains, so I don't ever see it becoming as clean as it was when I opened it.

I am enjoying this thermometer - it's a great addition to my grilling arsenal!
