Rottweiler sent to ER with 250 porcupine quills in face

A Rottweiler got into a dispute with a young porcupine and wound up with over 250 quills in its face and mouth. They were removed by a veterinarian, under anesthetic. If left alone, this many quills in the mouth could possibly kill even a large dog. It is a myth that quills can be cut to prevent penetration. Their design causes them to work their way in farther, no matter what, until they are pulled.
