Violent clashes erupt at anti-government protest in Peru

Peruvian police and demonstrators clashed as protesters continue to demand the resignation of President Dina Boluarte for her failure to bring about early elections.

Police fired tear gas and pushed back protesters with riot shields in an attempt to disperse the angry crowd.
