The board chairperson for Uganda National Bureau standards UNBS Charles Musekura turned to the
committee of parliament calling for a special audit into the organization for what he calls gross corruption.
He accuses UNBS managing director David Livingston Ebil for spending over 12.5 billion at source, illegal tax wavers and accuses inspectors for allowing harmful products to enter the country in exchange for money and says his efforts to report these matters to IGG has yielded no results.
The UNBS board and management were appearing before the parliamentary committee on commissions, Statutory and state enterprises – COSASE.
