The Witcher really blew me away intro wise! Released in 2007 (enhanced edition), The Witcher was one of those games I just kind of missed. I actually started playing Witcher 3 a few years ago, and now I'm super curious about the origins and the lore of the series.

The Witcher Enhanced Edition! Geralt and Triss Merigold are stunning, even with the older graphics! This is the first part of the first mission in the game. I'm keeping these videos shorter so they are easier to watch at your convenience.

Geralt is quite the womanizer! The women in The Witcher from 2007, look better than any of the ones in Starfield by the way. If you're tired of preachy modern video games, play the older ones instead. They are better and cheaper to boot!

Meeting Zoltan for the first time. He's so happy I saved him that he gives me no reward, and instead beats me at Dice Poker, robbing me of my precious early start in-game currency! ZOLTAN!!!

Just soaking up the sun in The Witcher.

I do random quests and absolutely random rants about gaming and even Nvidia (near the end). I do enjoy this game, it's fun, but the mechanics are old, and there are some huge pain points to get over like running around back and forth for quests by design in a game without fast travel, which is a bit of a chore. In this playthrough, I save Shani from a bunch of thugs, get busy with the witch Abigail, and destroy pretty much all of the town, although more indirectly than directly. All in the name of world peace! The game is a bit grindy, and there's no fast travel, but it's still playable! And the writing is far better than many modern games. Nothing quite like a game from 2007 to set the standard that still holds to this day. While the game is difficult due to not having fast travel, or the ability to loot things like plants without obtaining books and knowledge on said plants, the quests and combat are quite vast and well done. If CD Project Red remakes (or gets another studio to remake) The Witcher video game, would you buy it? If it's updated for modern audience, I'm staying away, but there's more to it than that too. The original old game is missing a proper UI, a fast travel option, and needs massive combat improvements for me to even consider buying an updated version.
