Book Sanding II

Streamed on:

Many books are still cut and in need of alignment and edge smoothing via sanding. I use a belt sander and various, simple jigs. Mostly it is a process by hand, and Ultimately I have to trust my eyes for the end result. I have done bookbinding for about eight years. This is one of my least favorite steps in the process because it is time-consuming and difficult to get right. I think I finally got a setup that will work for IRL, though don't quote me on that. It should at least work for this stream, though maybe not for hiking ones (because something always goes wrong). For music I listen to retro video game music from the 16-bit era.

This is a replay of a full-length, unedited live stream.
