Cognitive Distortions can be helpful if you use them to evaluate your thinking in order for you to choose an action that improves a situation, but distortions can also rob you of authentic, enjoyable moments and prevent you from growing into your best self. It can make it hard to believe anything positive about you or anyone you love. In this video we are discussing the strategy called “Dr. You How’s it working for you?” This strategy helps you to investigate your feelings, and determine if your feelings are helping you move forward, or not. When you think about it with purpose, you will be able to change your thinking, and direct your path toward thinking that actually benefits you.

In this workbook and video series, you will explore cognitive distortions: what they are, and what to do to fix them. Everything you need to reframe your negative thoughts are already inside you; it's just a matter of being aware that you are thinking about them and using strategies to fix them.
