What tastes good deep fried? Everything. Everything tastes good, so we've decided to show you how to deep fry like a pro using our favorite go to protein, chicken. Here's what you'll need: Chicken Buttermilk Hot Sauce Flour Salt Pepper Chili Powder Paprika Cayenne Garlic Powder Thyme Deep Fry Oil 2 Large Mixing Bowls Large Pot Pan Spider Meat Thermometer If you'd like to make our chicken sliders you'll also need: Mini Croisants Pickles Mayonaise Pickle Chips Lettuce Place your chicken pieces into a large mixing bowl and submerge in buttermilk. Liberally add your favorite hot sauce and mix thoroughly. Place your chicken, mixing bowl and all, into the fridge for a few hours. Fill your 2nd mixing bowl with flour and add your spices. Remove your chicken pieces from the batter mix one at a time, shaking off some of the excess milk, and roll them around in your flour mix until thoroughly coated. Shake off excess flower, and put onto a tray making sure they don't touch one another. Place your chicken back in the fridge for another hour. Fill a large pot about halfway with oil and heat up to between 350 and 365 degrees. Slowly lower your chicken into the pot a few pieces at a time and heat up to over 385 degrees. Use the spider to remove the chicken and place on paper towels to soak up excess oil. Season with salt.
