To some of us, mere mortals, a Rubik’s Cube is a puzzle that merely stresses us further, rather than relaxing us while teasing our brains. But for a pro like this guy, it is merely a challenge to prove himself further and make him famous in the process.

Marcin Kowalczyk, or “Maskow” as he is known in the circles he frequents, is known as a speedcuber. He is also a mnemonist, having the ability to remember and recall unusually long lists of data, such as unfamiliar names, lists of numbers, entries in books, or in his case, the sides of a mixed Rubik’s Cube and then solve it. While wearing a blindfold!

Marcin holds a world record for blindfolded cubing, having solved a three by three Rubik’s Cubes in 21.17 seconds. It is am incredible mental and physical feat, but that is not all. He has also demonstrated his incredible memory skills, solving a total of 41 Rubik’s Cubes, in an hour, while wearing a blindfold.

He documented this amazing accomplishment during a competition organized by the World Cube Association, managing to pull it off after just half an hour of memorization!

With his blindfold already on his head, Marcin does a quick little prep by taking a few very deep, meditation breaths to prepare for what is coming next, He then takes each cue in his hands and turns it around all over, memorizing the combinations. Then, he closes his eyes and visualizes how he will turn the rows. We are already impressed. But then, he lowers the blindfold, an assistant comes and holds a piece of paper in front of his eyes to make sure he is not looking, while the speedcuber does his magic.

Incredible!
