Tired Cat Caught Sleeping In A Flower Pot

There is a famous poem by English children’s author Eleanor Farjeon that goes: "Cats sleep anywhere, any table, any chair, top of piano, window-ledge, in the middle, on the edge". We couldn’t agree more!

Ms. Farjeon’s list of places that cats sleep adds a few other places, like "open drawer, empty shoe" etc, but she clearly missed out a very important place where a feline can, in fact, snooze, and that is "flower pots". We can’t hold this against her, because maybe it is a modern day thing, like a cat’s version of millennials.

Imagine the scenario, you wake up one morning and go to the living room, only to find a flower pot that you know you left empty last night sprout a rather peculiar type of plant. This spherical plant has fur-like texture, even ears and is really warm and fuzzy. But when you poke it, it would reveal that Mr. Whiskers had planted himself inside the pot in the dirt, because “cats sleep anywhere".

After a few strokes and several gentle tugs on the ear, this cat wakes up with the most annoyed sleepy expression on her face. She looks around, seeing nothing of immediate importance, then goes right back to curl up like a hedgehog into that white flower pot.

Oh, sleepy cat. We know just how you feel.
