The Lawrence Beat Podcast: Episode 9 - Caedran Sullivan & Marianne Hoffman

In todays episode we sit down with Caedran Sullivan, an 11th grade English teacher from Shawnee Mission, Kansas.

She decided to write an oped on her experience with ideological pushes in the district, she had no idea she would be thrust into the national spotlight. Sullivan, a 16 year veteran educator, has been featured on Fox News, Fox Business and Newsmax Sharing her story. Caedran sits down with The Lawrence Beat to discuss her observations and the atmosphere she says she saw begin to shift in 2016.

By 2019 she was required to take mandatory DEI training, and a culture of silence or compliance began to emerge. Caedran's personal education philosophy is truth, beauty and virtue. She was compelled to action when she witnessed the implementation of policy that not only affected the student body, but the educators morale as well.
