- At the conclusion of the 1st day of Yomtov of Sukkas the Kohanim and Leviyim would go down to the Ezras Nahsim and would make a big rectification there.
- They would surround the Ezras Nashim with balconies where the women would sit up high and the men would be down below to watch the celebrations so they wouldn’t come to lightheadedness or frivolity.
- There were several candelabras made out of gold set up in the Ezras Nashim. Each one had four bowls of oil at the top with four ladders leading to them.
- 4 young Kohanim would carry between them 120 logs of oil each one of the 4 holding 30 logs which is 10.35 litres per Kohen. And they would climb up the ladders to fill these 4 bowls on each of the candelabras.
- There is an amazing message of the preparations done here as well as the mighty strength of those Kohanim and what it means to us today in our lives.
