Continuing the spin off show from "Soap", with butler Benson in the lead role.
This is Season One Episode Eighteen from Feb 1980, and the episode is called "Checkmate".

In this episode............
An eleven-year-old chess prodigy visits the governor's mansion, along with much Russian Security.
The young Russian is tired of being show-cased everywhere, so he asks Katie to hide him from his entourage.
Katie finds he is just a young boy missing his family, so agrees to hide him - giving him lots of food and drink.
But the Russians accuse the Governor - and Benson - of kidnapping the boy, making war like threats if the boy isn't returned.
Benson comes up with a plan to diffuse the situation safely............

Quite a topical episode, given today's world events - but is played very well, and has a satisfactory conclusion for all, with Benson being especially great here.
