I went for the jugular, dissecting the abuse paragraph by paragraph, because the article is aiming to erase history, minimize the role that people played (so they can do it again), and act like it’s not STILL happening. It’s the same thing abusers do in relationships and the family. That entire Atlantic article appears to be driving toward the punchline of calling for more vaccine mandates for children, which she openly states at the end."

"That Atlantic article is astounding yet completely expected because the same pattern happens in abusive relationships. It’s good that a lot of people are seeing it for what it is and pushing back.

I think the evil has always been here, but it was hiding. In society, the best place for evil to hide is under the cover of humanitarianism, philanthropy and aid. Most people couldn’t see it. Now that it’s coming out in plain sight, there are still those who don’t see. They still want to believe it’s good. This is why the covert abuse is far more dangerous than the overt form. The covert form is hidden, disguised, often cloaked in an appearance of goodness. For that reason, it can reach much farther and do much more damage before it’s even detected.
