Beda Mwebesa, the focal person for the Parish Development Model (PDM) in Kabale district, is facing criticism for the delayed implementation of the program in the area.
PDM is one of the latest poverty eradication initiatives introduced by the Government of Uganda, aiming to uplift the 39% of the population still trapped in subsistence farming and transition them into the money economy
Concerns have been raised about Kabale district's failure to distribute the allocated funds, even three years after the program's launch. The PDM committees in the district have voiced their frustration, citing insufficient training and lack of allowances as hindrances to effectively coordinating the program.
