June 30, 2023: the #JWST team shows a first image of part of the #Saturn system at a wavelength of 3.23 microns (F323N) using #Webb's #NIRCam (Near-Infrared Camera). Saturn appears extremely dark, as the gas giant's methane gas absorbs almost all the sunlight that is radiated by our Sun. The icy rings, on the other hand, remain relatively bright. Webb will be a very important tool for understanding this planet's rings and small moons. #Video #4K #60FPS via #AI.
