After James Gunn took over the DC Universe and fired Henry Cavill on the spot, many fans were curious and worried as to who was going to take over the role of Superman going forward. Naturally, we were all worried that the studio was going to pick the likes of Timothee Chalamet but the news is fortunately much better than that.

It has been officially announced that David Corenswet will play Clark Kent/Superman and Rachel Brosnahan will portray Lois Lane in the upcoming Superman: Legacy movie. The fan response to this decision will decide whether the hype is there for this to be a box office success or whether even more members of the audiences will be turned away from superhero entertainment.
