Russia intercepts UK spy plane

Two British fighter jets and an RC-135 spy plane approached the Russian border over the Black Sea on Monday, but quickly changed their course upon the approach of two Su-27 interceptors, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. Video of the intercept was released by the Ministry, along with a statement.

According to the ministry’s statement, Russian air defenses detected three approaching targets and promptly dispatched fighter jets to identify the intruders and prevent any territorial violations.
