Bardo Part 2

Bardo is a Tibetan Buddhist term. It refers to two seemingly contradictory states. It refers to what happens to people when they die but also the state in which we are alive now is also referred to as Bardo. Therefore the idea is to recognise this state as Bardo now. Bardo is somewhat scary. Death to us is of course death to our ego, our self. Everything people do is to avoid ultimate self reflection so the idea of attaining realisation of or acceptance of Bardo upon death is wishful thinking at best. Something I have always tried to point out to people is that this is when you are alive and this is the time to train awareness. Kevin dwyer
