Why Urbanism is evil; I react to a video that wants to take our cars, tax us and cage us

I react to a video on Urbanism. So, this is a raw reaction and solo debate based on what I hear for the first time.

Already, the comments and intro give it away as making points that support their argument. The video maker wants to focus on emotional points, not rational ones. Safety gets put over freedom, to the point freedom is never mentioned once.

All of his arguments are a political video at best, or “take somebody elses money and give it to me” at worst. He lives in a city and focuses only on the city. Why is it that people in the city cannot see beyond the city limits? They lack the understanding of how supply chains, agriculture, industry work. Its as if things magically teleport into their stores and they don’t ever need to move.

That’s the same thing as life as a gerbil, with all it needs to live magically provided by somebody else. They don’t care, or worse, do and just want other people’s money to fund their way of life, knowing full well they cannot fund it on their own.

The examples they give, of transit are straight from transit agencies press releases, where all the dangers, problems, delays are ignored. I worked in transit, and I can tell you, driving a car will always be cheaper and faster. The only way to make it cheaper is by levying taxes on cars, fuel, etc.

And if all else fails, the video creator mentions force. Force auto manufacturers to comply with their will, for their visions.

This is why you cant argue with an urbanist, because there is no argument, no debate. Its gimme gimme gimme, now now now. And if you don’t, force!

I decided to publish this video, to showcase our opponents. This is how they view us. They see us as an infestation. We heard this language many times in history and knows how it goes.

But in the end, we must win because

Oil is thicker than blood!
