Training heavy is incredibly important when it comes to back growth. Make sure you don't run away from that heavy weight. We live in a day and age where there is a new optimal science based philosophy around lifting that tells you to stop lifting heavy. Never buy into that philosophy. Lift heavy no matter what. I love using deadlifts as my prime back exercise for heavy lifting. I will be deadlifting until I'm dead.
