Epic Battle Fantasy 4 (PC) - Epic Mode - Part 17: Sandworm Miniboss Fight (All Challenges On)

After traversing Lankyroot Jungle and entering Goldenbrick Resort, the group loots the final town of the game and comes face to face with a familiar miniboss guarding another treasure! The Sandworm from Epic Battle Fantasy 2 makes a comeback, and he's got a new trick up his sleeve!

If you've played the second game, this boss fight works mostly the same. You have the worm and its tail fighting you at the same time, and if you take out its tail it will regenerate after a few turns. The tail can stun you, and the worm can poison you and debuff your attack and accuracy, so some resistance to those couldn't hurt. They're both also vulnerable to poison and the Debuff Trifecta (Weaken, Curse, Tired), so get those on ASAP.

The hard part of this version of the fight comes in the second phase. You'll know you're there when the Sandworm jumps up out of the ground and divebombs your party. Even with your own buffs and the worm's debuffs maxed out, this attack can still easily one-shot one of your party members.

I also decided once again to try turning the challenges back on for this fight. It took me a few tries in the aforementioned second phase, but I eventually pulled it off!
