I’ve been using it for a year now, and I haven’t had any issues with it whatsoever. I fish with it on a frequent basis, and it’s as good as the day I bought it.
The gear ratio is perfect for buzz and topwater lures which require a quick retrieve in order to keep them above water. And even though it’s a high-speed reel, the retrieve doesn’t feel overly fast or unmanageable.
One of the aspects of the Daiwa CT that I really enjoy is its light weight. It’s light enough that I can fish with it all day without feeling like I’m holding a brick.
The handle on this reel is customizable to fit your preferred position, and it’s comfortable to handle, even for extended periods of time. The line capacity is a good size, and I’ve never had any issues with the line breaking or getting tangled up.
The reel’s braking system is top-notch, and it’s easy to adjust to your preferred casting style. I’ve thrown all sorts of lures with this reel, and it handles each of them with ease.
From spinnerbaits to jigs, the Daiwa Fuego CT can handle it all. The design of this reel is sleek and attractive. It’s certainly not a flashy reel, but it looks professional and high-quality.
If you’re on a budget or want to upgrade from an entry-level reel, the Daiwa Fuego CT is definitely worth considering. Especially considering its relatively affordable price point.
This reel is built to last, and the fact that it’s lasted me a year is a testament to that. Having a left-handed reel is especially important to me, and the Fuego CT offers that option.
The retrieve is smooth, effortless, and quiet. It glides so easily, there’s no need to leave your thumb on the spool while casting. The Fuego CT is easy to cast, and just feels like a great reel in your hand.
It’s a dream to fish with, and being able to use it for extended periods of time without getting fatigued is an added bonus. The drag system on this reel is fantastic – it’s super smooth and reliable.
I’ve had no issues with the drag slipping or sticking. Overall, I might sound like a broken record, but this reel is seriously worth every penny. If you’re looking for a fantastic baitcasting reel that won’t break the bank, this is the one.
