Charlotte Police Can Now Take Your Car from Car Meet – Detroit Takes 2 Lambos from 1 Owner

More stories about Police impounding, seizing and just taking cars from law abiding individuals, for now other reason that as a cash grab.

We start off with the story of a man with a 1965 Chevy (cudos to him for daily driving that car), who had his registered, functional car towed away by LAPD, by an officer that falsified the reports, lying that his car was missing its engine, transmission, interior, etc, when there was nothing wrong with it.

I do recommend Steve Lehto’s channel, as there are so many cases, recently a Missouri city that has an insane law, seizing and towing people’s cars from their own property. Where does this end?

Second case, is how Detroit took not one, but two Lamborghini’s from the same owner. No racing, no illegal activity, but it didn’t matter. They took them, with no charged brought, because the chief of Detroit PD wanted to “permanently seize” the cars to use them for whatever he wanted.

As such, the cars were damaged with thousands of dollars worth of dings, dents and scratches, many miles put on the cars and so on. Most of the time, towing due to seizure or impounding doesn’t focus on not damaging the car. J-hooks, straps, chains will cause so much damage to some cars, and these are damages an owner will never recuperate from the police department.

The final piece, is on Charlotte, NC with their new law against Street Takeovers. There are laws on the books already but now they will punish the innocent, and take their cars. This in effect makes any legitimate care meet, cars and coffee, etc, susceptible to impound. Even spectators (which are ill defined, if this means somebody recording or just glancing by as they walk home) liable to criminal charges.

This is insane, and unjust. Call your local senators, mayors, and let them know that this will not stand. Its hard, but these types of injustices cannot stand, and unless we voice our concerns, nothing will change.
