TRAIN DRIVER'S VIEW: Cold winter day on the Flåm Line

Happy New Year, peeps!

Did a tour on the Flåm Railroad again, and this time you're up for a calm run up the valley from Flåm to Myrdal.

The landscape is covered in snow, and shows itself from the best.

I've added some more information, marked out the infamous "slowdown" at "hylla". A infobox points out where on the mountain this slow down happens. So just before Kjosfossen at Pinnalia, you can see three levels of the Flåm Line.

For you guys who hates the wipers, there are no wipers in this one ;)

The Flåm Railway is the steepest normal gauge railway in Northern Europe. The gradient is 55‰ (1:18) and the sharpest bends has a radius of 130m (426.5ft).

The line is serviced by EL18's and B3 carriages.

Cheers!
