Italian special forces attempt to secure Turkish ship held by 15 stowaways

Italian special forces have lowered themselves onto the Turkish ‘Galeta Seaways’ ship from two helicopters in a dramatic operation to a free crew held by about 15 stowaways off the southern city of Naples, Italy’s defense minister has said.
At the time of writing the operation is ongoing. ‘We hope it will end as soon as possible without consequences for anyone’, the minister said.
