CNN: Trump admits on tape he didn’t declassify ‘secret information’

According to a transcript of an audio recording obtained by CNN, former President Donald Trump admitted in a 2021 meeting that he possessed undisclosed classified military information.

Trump acknowledged that as president, he had the authority to declassify such information but stated that he no longer had that power, CNN has reported.

The transcript was part of a discussion where Trump referenced a classified Pentagon document concerning a potential attack on Iran.
