Acrylic pour layering - Thick or thin? Which works better?

I prefer to use thinner layers of paint in my acrylic paint pour cups. However, by varying the size of each layer you can change the look of your fluid acrylic paint.

Thinner coats let the colors blend more and you get less large sections of colors. Thicker layers give you more of the same colors in broader sections.
