(29) 04/29/2016 - Spring rock fishing aboard the New Seaforth "Short Clip"

SHORT CLIP I don't normally post rock fishing content because... well it's kinda boring. The fish taste GREAT, but it's not much to watch. Don't get me wrong though, it's a relaxing day on the water, with great scenery and friends. Fun time taco fishing!

I already know I'm going to catch hell for the size of that rockfish. The IGFA world record for a Starry Rockfish is 2 pounds 4 ounces. The biggest one I've ever seen was about a pound So although the fish is small, it's within the normal range. We were fishing at a depth of 300 feet, even with a release clip, the barotrauma would make mortality sketchy. I kept the fish, and ate it that night.
